Did you know?
As a Christian organization, we believe in tithing, or giving 10% of what we are given, back to God.
ALL non-grant monies that we receive are tithed to Good News Evangelistic Outreach Mission in Malawi, Africa.
This mission has brought food, clean water, medicine, and more to families (especially children!) in a country that has the
highest rate of HIV infection in the world. We are proud to help in the feeding and care of not only the people in our
community, but also in another country!
We do NOT telemarket!
We have had a number of people call us and tell us that they have given The Open Door generous
donations when people called and asked for money. We do NOT participate in telemarketing. Our board of directors
feels very strongly that telemarketing is unethical, so we have NEVER used telemarketing to raise funds. If you give
to a soup kitchen that is calling and asking for money, even if they say that it is for The Open Door, it is NOT The
Open Door, and the money will definitely not end up here!
